January 22nd, 2015 Go to comments
Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

  4. CGT CCNP
    February 21st, 2020

The TSHOOT is a troubleshooting exam and CCNP is a professional level.

There are many people who do pass the exam as they understood what the exam is about and could solve it. This is expected from a CCNP and a company is expecting exact that from you if they pay your salary :)

Then there are many people who randomly ask for algorithm or perfect answers.

For those who might think it is just enough to learn prepared answers but are not able to really troubleshoot and do not understand the issues in the tickets. You have not the level to become a CCNP since your networking skills are just too weak.

If you fail with very small amount of score …. start from basic and learn basics … then better start again with CCNA or entry level but do not blame a Cisco exam for being the problem.

Study hard … do the labs … understand the problems in the tickets … you cannot fail as networktut presents you all needed informations being successful.

stay calm , write down on a paper every device with it’s tickets so that you can clear your mind and mark every ticket that you’ll get.
I have got the following Tickets:

Hey I can verify everything is okay here! Just you need to verify again and again and possibly if by using different show commands. And keep in mind the obvious like the port-sec and dhcp helper address. I can verify the correct is loopback on r4. Ignore the port-sec config if helper on dsw1 is not loopback of r4. If possible check the intf config of port-channel and it’s associated interface. ( Mostly for allowed vlan’ config) when everything at layer 2 works. For example for the premium sim where you can ping r1, means l2 is okay. For that ticket glance at the ideal l2 config of trunk and access ports

    Passed the exam 1000/1000.

    Total of 24 questions
    -MCQ Nov update
    -BGP and HSRP sim
    -Tickets around 8 of them

Focus and read properly the questions. Sims are the same as here. The interface for the tickets might be quite overwhelming at first but then you’ll get used to it.

I used NULL ZERO strat, worked flawlessly. I suggest to avail the premium for practicing the sims, mcq and esp the tickets. Don’t be bothered by negative comments you read here. You’ll do just fine as long as you prepare yourself properly. 3days to goo!!

    Thank you cery much networktut!!

Good luck to all that will take the exam.

nailed it today 9xx/1000. get premium and you are good to go. i followed this man strategy

“Passed today with 1000/1000. Much many thanks to NetworkTut!!! Helped a lot, Premium membership.
I followed mine strategy, and it helped alot and trust me save me a lot of time..! (know only 2 days left.. but might help someone).

1:- ipconfig on client –> client doesn’t have IP (169.254.xx.xx) –> only 3 tickets have this –> PPI (Port-Security on ASW) (Port-Channel misconfig on ASW) (Iphelper address on DSW)

2:- ipconfig on client –> Client has IP –> Ping DG (DSW), and it fails. Layer 2 ISSUE –> only 3 tickets have this –> TVV (Trunk misconfigd on access port – ASW) (Vlan error – port should be in vlan 10) (VACL on DSW)

3:- ipconfig on client –> Client has IP –> Ping DG (DSW) OK. Layer 3 ISSUE –> Ping R1 (10.1.1.1), OK –> only in 3 tickets you can –> BEN (BGP neighbor issue) (Edge-security acl on R1) (Nat issue on R1, ip nat inside/outside)

4:- IPV6 issue, there are 3 IPV6 issue tickets. easy to differentiate.

5:- Ping from client to dsw, OK –> ping from client to R4 fails –> only 2 tickets –> PA (Passive-interface issue on R4) (AS eigrp issue on R4)

Above make 14 tickets sorted within seconds…. all you need to remember PPI, TVV, BEN and PA.
It did help me a lot.. Good luck everyone..!”

    Hello,
    just passed – nothing new.
BUT had technical problem: in the BGB-sim, only the Intro/Scenario was shown.
There was no button for the questions!
When klicking NEXT, the question was gone at all.
the problem was routed to VUE.

    Good luck dear all

Passed today, 980, :'( (not in club 1000, it’s so pitty).
Got SWITCH, ROUTE, TSHOOT, in one month, i’m so happy !
Tshoot exam is easy if you understand networks concepts. Everything is here, thanks networktut !
my only mistake was on HSRP sim the last question i answered OSPF issue, it was DHCP.
To identify which device cause issue ping everything from PC1 from bottom to up and same from R1 to PC1. i will try to stay on this forum to answer to your questions if you have.

    Network Participles 67%
    Layer2 Technologies 100%
    Layer3 Technologies 100%
    VPN Technologies 100%

    Cleared exam yesterday with 9XX.

    Network Principles 100%
    Layer 2 Technologies 76%
    Layer 3 Technologies 100%
    VPN technologies 100%
    Infrastructure Security 100%
    Infrastructure Services 100%

Layer 2 Technologies 76%, but really i don’t know where i made a mistake. Everything was ok in my perspective. It seems that there was too many full score before me and they refused to give my own 1000. However, i have crossed the wall, and itis the must important part. Finally CCNP R&S of last days.

You can trust MCQ, Simlet and tickets from Nov 2019. But read carefully, because they can ask you the opposite one. So, you must read the sentence until the last word.

I passed today 21/02/2020 with 1000 marks. There were 24 questions and all are from here. As I remember slight different was there in bgp simlet where ibgp peering as number is wrong and ebgp neighbor ip is wrong. Premium membership helped me to practice and thanks networktut. Wish all of you the best.

    February 21st, 2020

Passed the exam. The Dumps and Labs from this website are still valid. Valuable advice to you guys, dont learn this stuff hardcore, use logic, use few really really usefull show commands like show ip ospf neighbors, sho interface trunk end so on. In combination with show run there shouldnt be any issues if you understand how is technology working. Thanks networktut!

I think I had one Question not in the November MCQ. It is a Question regarding IPv6 ACL and how to enable access from one to another router. The answer was to move ACL entry 60 on top of the ACL. Pretty easy because the IPv6 addresses are shown on the diagram.

    Good luck guys!
