Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

My question is that which one is HSRP simlet? I don’t have it. Can you please share here??

  15. @Shan
    February 20th, 2020

The answers for the HSRP sim are “TADD”. That is, in this exact order:
    1. the one mentioning TRACK issues
    2. the one mentioning ACL issues
    3. the one mentioning DISTRIBUTE lists issues
    4. the one mentioning DHCP issues

thank you. got 1000. mcq are valid

  17. @Shan
    February 20th, 2020

The REAL answer is to click on Simlets at the top right on this page. Read what it says. You do not need a shortened version of the answers, which could be confusing, since those words are used in all the answers in HSRP.

    February 20th, 2020

    passed today.
    Total 24Q’s
    HSRP, BGP Simlet
    MCQ’s few about tunnel
ALL Ticket you can find here, just practice !

    February 20th, 2020

I passed with score 923 today, I don’t know what was wrong. Be careful in the questions there is no information that the ticket is for IPV6 all scenarios was the same.
Therefore, the first ticket took me over 40 minutes (I couldn’t ping server 209.65.200.241 from ASW1 but could from computers – IPV6 ticket 12 ).
@Shan HSRP is the HSRP Simulator on the top right of networktut.com abow BGP Simulator (there is another IP address IP: 209.165.127.2 the same as Aquadig wrote earlier)
    All tickets from networktut.
    Good luck

Thanks networktut!!!!!! I passed today and all is OK heré. I am CCNP.
    The nov MCQ are valid.
The VLAN filter ticket has it’s 2) question scroll bar to find the technology “ACL/PortACL” complex to see due the white backgroun and gray slinding bar colors, are very similars, but the scroll bar is there, over the right box margin, and it work ok.
Pay the 12usd for premium membership , it is the Best way to practice.
All the tickets are OK. No problem.
BGP and HSRP Simlets are valid.
    Good lucky

  21. Aquadig
    February 20th, 2020

The ticket button tells you if it is ipv4 or ipv6

    IPv4, ping from Client1:

ping 10.1.1.1 OK or 10.1.1.2 OK? The problem is on R1
ping KO on both the above and 10.2.1.1 OK? The problem is on R4
ping KO on all of the above: the problem is either on DSW1 or ASW1

    for ipv6:
sh ipv6 ospf nei on R2&R3
    IF R2 neigh + R3 neigh = 2 => R2, missing ipv6 ospf 6 area 0
    IF R2 neigh + R3 neigh = 3 => R3, remove tunnel mode ipv6
    IF R2 neigh + R3 neigh = 4 => R4, redistribute RIP_Zone

    February 20th, 2020

@Yannis, yes, you only need to study Nov questions.

    February 20th, 2020

@scared, i fact, i don´t know if ipv6 was able because i had a trouble with my keyboard and i cound´t type ” : “. but i think the IPV6 are so easy to remember where the problems are R2 -> ipv6 ospf area 0, R3 remove the tunnel ipv6 command and R4 OSPF redistribution. Just in case :)

    @Shan HSRP simlet -> https://www.networktut.com/hsrp-sim#more-695, relax bro ;)

@Yannis, yes, you just need PDF NOV (i didn´t have the premium account)

Passed today with 1000/1000. Much many thanks to NetworkTut!!! Helped a lot, Premium membership.
I followed mine strategy, and it helped alot and trust me save me a lot of time..! (know only 2 days left.. but might help someone).

1:- ipconfig on client –> client doesn’t have IP (169.254.xx.xx) –> only 3 tickets have this –> PPI (Port-Security on ASW) (Port-Channel misconfig on ASW) (Iphelper address on DSW)

2:- ipconfig on client –> Client has IP –> Ping DG (DSW), and it fails. Layer 2 ISSUE –> only 3 tickets have this –> TVV (Trunk misconfigd on access port – ASW) (Vlan error – port should be in vlan 10) (VACL on DSW)

3:- ipconfig on client –> Client has IP –> Ping DG (DSW) OK. Layer 3 ISSUE –> Ping R1 (10.1.1.1), OK –> only in 3 tickets you can –> BEN (BGP neighbor issue) (Edge-security acl on R1) (Nat issue on R1, ip nat inside/outside)

4:- IPV6 issue, there are 3 IPV6 issue tickets. easy to differentiate.

5:- Ping from client to dsw, OK –> ping from client to R4 fails –> only 2 tickets –> PA (Passive-interface issue on R4) (AS eigrp issue on R4)

Above make 14 tickets sorted within seconds…. all you need to remember PPI, TVV, BEN and PA.
It did help me a lot.. Good luck everyone..!

    February 20th, 2020

@Malik. Please let me know if the tickets informs you if it’s IPv4 or IPv6 related.
