Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    Passed with 1000.
November MCQ, all valid, did not have any new questions.
    BGP, HSRP.
    Tickets as here.

Just read answers carefully and remember few gotchas that this site points out:

    – Switchport Trunk ticket – you have to select the answer with unshut f1/0/1 since there is exactly the same answer but without unshut, it’s wrong.
    – DHCP helper ticket – there is port security config on f1/0/1 but it’s not the problem, use ‘show int f1/0/1’ to make sure. Also in this ticket I saw the scrollbar that is present in VLAN filter ticket but the right answer was visible.
    – VLAN filter – you do have to use the scrollbar on the right to scroll down to select DSW1 but this is not the only ticket where the scrollbar is present, so don’t use it as an indication of the problem.
    – IPv6 RIPng OSPF – make sure you use area 0
    – Redistribute-map – be careful with two options
    – NAT ACL – be careful with two options

I used SAM before but that flow chart I can’t memorize LOL (no offense to the creator).
Just wrote all tickets down in the order from the closest to Client1 to the furthest to Client1
IPv4/IPv6 – three tickets with show ipv6 ospf neig trick
    ping 10.1.1.1
    ping 10.1.4.5
show run in whatever direction makes sense.

Hi everyone, I successfuly pass my examen today with 1000/1000(Perfect). Thanks Networktut, 100% of all exam is here.

The MCQ(updated on 13th-Nov-2019) is enough, BGP Simulator and HSRP Simulator.

Remember when you have an IPV6 exercise, the ticket indicates that from the ipv6 loopback of R1 (2026 :: 111: 1), you cannot reach the ipv6 loopback DSW2 (2026 :: 222: 2), then when you see that It is definitely an IPV6 ticket, so you must ping ipv6 from Router 1 following the SAM or NULLZERO methodology, because from the client you cannot ping ipv6, from the client you can reach the server via IPV4.

When it is an IPV4 exercise, it only says that clients 1 and 2 cannot reach server 209::65.200.241

In my case the tickets I obtained were:

    – Ticket 1 – OSPF Authentication
    – Ticket 4 – NAT ACL
    – Ticket 6 – VLAN filter
    – Ticket 9 – Switchport trunk
    – Ticket 11 – Redistribution Route-map (a)
    – Ticket 12 – IPv6 OSPF
    – Ticket 13 – DHCP Helper-address
    – Ticket 14 – EIGRP Passive Interface
    – Ticket 15 – IPv6 GRE Tunnel
    – Ticket 17 – Switchport Encapsulation

    The exam have 24 questions.

I recommend checking first with the ipconfig command.

PD: My english is bad because I talk spanish. Sorry for my english.

    I’m CCNP R&S today :D

    Good Luck!!!

I scored an 835 today, I did bad on Layer 2 only, the rest is 100% and Infrastructure Security is 80%. I want another crack at it but Cisco Policy requires me to retake on 24 February, which is for the new exam. That really sucks.

  15. @Almost
    February 18th, 2020

I think you could take it on the 23rd, if you could find a testing center open on a Sunday.

Tested today an achieved a score of 1000/1000. Everything on the premium member site is all valid. The only caveat to that is expect all the of the IP addresses to be different, and have some understanding of how to tshoot. If you have basic knowledge of troubleshooting real cisco networks, and if you practice the labs/sims/MCQ you will be fine.

Hie all what is the SAM Stratergy i keep hearing. may someone give me the Sam Statergy

  19. beefinn
    February 18th, 2020

Seems many people are failing the layer 2 section. Whats the caveat? What do I need to look out for?

  20. @beefinn
    February 18th, 2020

They are confusing the port security ticket with the DHCP ticket. Check the interface for err-disabled and you will be fine.

  21. Newbie
    February 18th, 2020

For the Ticket#4 what is the second answer??? Is it “NAT” or “IP NAT”???

  22. KashNex @Newbie
    February 19th, 2020

T4 the second answer is IP NAT
    1. R1
    2. IP NAT
    3. s0/1 ip nat outside

I Pass today, 1000/1000 The MCQ(updated on 13th-Nov-2019) is enough, BGP Simulator and HSRP Simulator., D&D tunnel grep.

    –Ticket 1 – OSPF Authentication
    – Ticket 4 – NAT ACL
    – Ticket 6 – VLAN filter
    – Ticket 9 – Switchport trunk
    – Ticket 11 – Redistribution Route-map (B)
    – Ticket 12 – IPv6 OSPF
    – Ticket 13 – DHCP Helper-address
    – Ticket 14 – EIGRP Passive Interface
    – Ticket 15 – IPv6 GRE Tunnel
    – Ticket 17 – Switchport Encapsulation

  24. Oh_geez
    February 19th, 2020

@Renewed…So are the IP’s in the NULLZERO/SAM strategy different than in the actual exam?

  25. @Newbie
    February 19th, 2020

Also, do not worry about NAT versus IP NAT. You are picking from a list, and only IP NAT is there, no NAT. You will do great!

All I see are ‘The exam you selected is not available for delivery at this test center.’
Help! send me an email where you guys took yours

I do not know the location, but one person posted last week that the testing centers were already full near them. It may or may not have been the Philippines, but the person did not say. With the date closing in on us, I can see where that might be an issue. Good luck.
