Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

Can someone explained on the Null-zero strategy what is the meaning of T7 – A1Port or T9 – A1Switch ?

    February 18th, 2020

    Passed Yesterday.
ALL questions are here. 100% valid.

    One quick tip:

EVERY TICKET has R2 with “ip ospf authentication message-digest” configuration.
it was a bit confusing for me.

    Pay attention.
Check every other device on the network. Don’t go for the Ticket 1 “OSPF Authentication” right away.

    Good Luck!

    Again, EVERY QUESTION IS HERE.
MCQ Nov13 Valid, All tickets Valid, Simlets (HSRP, BGP) Valid.

    This site/community is awesome.

If you want to pass, Use it.
Its only a few dollars and totally worth it.
Got all my certs from the sites here, CCENT, CCNA, CCNA Security, All 3 CCNP Tests.

    Thanks to all of you.

    You guys rock!

  10. @GM
    February 18th, 2020

You said: EVERY TICKET has R2 with “ip ospf authentication message-digest” configuration.
This is expected and correct. The fault was never on that router for ospf authentication.

  11. SDS
    February 18th, 2020

@GM I assume it is correct. R1 and R2 should have “ip ospf authentication message-digest” under their Serial interfaces.

T1 issue is that the command “ip ospf authentication message-digest” is missing under S0/0/0 on R1.

Do I not understand it correctly?

  12. GM
    February 18th, 2020

    @SDS

    Yes, you are correct.
What I’m saying is, at the tickets here, ONLY TICKET 1 has R2 with “ip ospf authentication message-digest” on it.
    All others don’t.

So, Pay attention cause its different from the exam.

    Passed TSHOOT 1000
NOV MCQ Still valid + Tickets are valid followed NULLZERO with an additional touch of preparation nailed the exams.

  14. @SDS
    February 18th, 2020

    You understand perfectly.

  15. @GM
    February 18th, 2020

You should only be checking R1 for the presence or absence of ospf authentication. Whether it is on all R2 instances is irrelevant, as it will always be there.

    ***Reposting for visibility***
Can I just show run each device per ticket then identify the issue on each configurations? Or this can only be applicable to IPv6 tickets???

  27. GM
    February 18th, 2020

    @Newbie

    Yes you can.
I did it to identify the tickets all tickets.

You will eventually need to do a “show int f1/0/1” when you see a mac address sticky config.

Other than that, Show run worked for me.

  28. Newbie
    February 18th, 2020

@GM, thank you. I’ve mastered SAM also. Will take this exam later.

  29. @Newbie

Hopefully, you plan to take it not too much later. It will be gone soon.

  30. Passed TShoot
    February 18th, 2020

In order for me to remember the tickets i used a memory trick (following NullZero format)

    APIPA addr…S(a1)…I(d1)…P(a1)

    ping 10.1.1.1…….B…S…N…N..all R1

    ping 10.1.1.2……O…R2

    ping 10.2.1.1…..Route red..Route red…E….R4

then Vlan(a1)..Vlan(a1)..VACL(d1)….this is for ipv4..once you start to learn null zero..this helps you memorize strategy

    for IPV6 from R1…OSPF(R2)……ipv6vp4 interopability(R3)…..ipv6OSPF(R4)…..

I memorized this matrix or something similar..then wrote this down on the pad….that with nov questions is really ALL you need
