Exam’s Structure:
+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.
Topics of the lab-sims:
1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP
The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…
In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:
+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it
When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.
A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html
Note:
+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.
+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!
Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

The website started slow around Noon EST time, today. I am not sure if anyone has reported or what, but it has become painful to practice the tickets.
@networktut could you please do something with the slowness of the website? it’s pretty hard to practice the tickets. thanks!
Slow for me to :(
@GM, I doubt it but not impossible. I scored high 700 on my test a few weeks ago, but I know I missed a couple of tickets (I put DHCP helper as the answer twice)
I did only show run on my first attempt.
In the coming attempt I will be much more thorough ,show neighbors, VLAN, trunks, IP interfaces, routes, port sec…
I don’t think that show run is enough to find the ticket, maybe 80% of them and you can guess. It might also explain why some people have commented that they failed with low scores in L2 & L3 technologies.
Retesting tomorrow and have been reading up properly on all tickets and memorized nullzero, MCQ, HRSP and BGP simlets.
I will draw the nullzero strategy during the 15 minute tutorial and follow it.
If all goes well, should be able to score 1k…
are the tickets included on the nov dump?
could someone share?
thanks!
Site is really SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!HELP.
How can we get to the admins ?
Hey networktut, the sims are really, REALLY slow today. Is there a problem with the servers?
I have passed the exam on 12th of Feb with the score 9xx, all you need is to check networktut website properly and create some strategy for TS as you cannot go back.
Anon, Thanks very much.
I’ll pay attention to it and try to use all the commands, even if I dont need it.
Thanks again!
I hope you hit 1000. You can do it! Just make sure you identify the ticket using one of the strategies. I used sh run a lot to find them. Good luck!
got 53% on Layer 2 tech. I think i wrong in port secu. I answered wrong dhcp helper. any tips on how to score in layer 2 tech?? will retake again diz week. Love you all.
Do sh int fa1/0/1 to check port security and make sure it shows as err-disabled. If the interface does not show err-disabled, then it is not port security.
site is LAGGING again
site is SLOWWWW :( DO something I have exam tomorrow.
Can anyone verify if “sh port-security” command works in the exam?
@networktut the site is lagging. Please check!!
Hello TSHOOT passers, what’s the best strategy will you recommend?
1.) AHA?
2.) SAM?
3.) NULLZERO?
Thanks!
SAM worked for me. I scored 1000/1000. Practice is the key.
@ Newbie or someone who is aware
What is AHA, SAM and NULLZERO? can you please explain in detail?
Just passed yesterday, all from NetworkTut, thank you all. Don’t believe trolls who say that exam is different/new.
Guys!! i have my Expiration Date 02/20 and i dont past my exam the last friday, anyone know if I present my exam again the same day that my Expiration Date is valid for cisco?
Wish me luch guys !! Exam in 1 day !! Let’s Do IT!!!
Hello guys,
I have a question: when solving the tickets, each ticket interface will show me the topology of ticket’s scenario?
@exam taker
Yes, you get a separate tabs for topology and devices
Yes, you can test on your expiration date. Just make sure you do Premium so you can ensure you pass.
Just get Premium. It is all you need. Seeing images of someone failing an exam will not help you. Practicing in Premium will.
On the real exam, how do you identify for what ticket (#1 to #17 ticket on networktut site) is related each ticket scenario ?
For each ticket, devices has different config / faults?
Passed today score of 1000 everything valid here use the premium helped lots! Thanks network tut.
First question was DHCP problem but the clients also have Port security enabled I picked dhcp
Good luck to everyone
Choose or develop a strategy for determining the fault, which is the ticket. This exam is all about determining where the problem is. The tickets are not numbered in the exam, so go with the SAM or NULLZERO strategies or develop your own strategy. The whole point of the exam is to figure out what the problem is. You do it by using your troubleshooting skills.
Got it, thanks!
