Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    To be precise, there are two problem scenarios between all tickets:

    Scenario 1: The implementation group has been using the test bed to do a ‘proof-of-concept’ that requires both Client 1 and Client 2 to access the WEB Server at 209.65.200.241. After several changes to the network addressing, routing schemes, DHCP services, layer 2 connectivity, FHRP services, and, device security, a trouble ticket has been opened indicating that Client 1 cannot ping the 209.65.200.241 address.”

    Scenario 2: The implementation group has been using the test bed to do an IPv6 ‘proof-of-concept’. After several changes to the network addressing and routing schemes, a trouble ticket has been opened indicating that the loopback address on R1 (2026::111:1) is not able to ping the loopback address on DSW2 (2026::102:1).

    exam TSHOOT passed today.
    12MCQ from november – 2 SIM – 10 Tickets.
    all networktut materials are still correct.

    I had problems with a LAYER 2 ticket; I did it wrong. I think it was ASW1 TICKET (maybe Ticket 17 – Switchport Encapsulation); I didn’t find the problem because i was not able to reach server from ASW1 and I tought the problem was on DSW1; answers proposed were helpless.
    anyway It was the only mistake I made.

    TIP: “show interface status” does not work in exam but only in networktut simulations.

    thanks to networktut!

    i passed the tshoot with a whoping perfect score. all tickets, mcq are valid.

    got the 3 ipv6 ticket,
    got 9 ipv4 tickets ( dhcp, nat, encap dot1q, access vlan 10, eigrp as number, 2 eigrp redistribute, port-sec, deleted ticket ( HSRP ) )
    mcqs are valid. ( but 1 added ipv6 mcq which is easy to answer because the ticket dictates the right answer )

    hsrp, and bgp. be mindful about the bgp configuration, because they can change the ip address of the EBGP.

    That’s all, goodluck guys.

    @kamoteq
    EIGRP AS NUMBER? Cisco return with this ticket? That ticket was removed.
    Could you help with more information about that? My exam is on monday.

    I did my exame recentily and did not see nothing about EIGRP AS @Raphilsikys.

    if you now the topology and practiced labs on eve-ng or packtrace, for you to pass the exam, you will only use commands from: ipconfig, ping command from client 1 and show ipv6 ospf neig on R2, R3 and R4, this is enough you can believe.

    Hey guys,

    My country doesn’t let me use the paypal and its services. So, I can’t pay for premium membership. if someone who the already passed can share the premium account with me for a few days I’ll be appreciated. I can share your premium cost with cryptocurrency if you are ok too. I can pay with XRP and ETH.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Why in the test here, do you ping 2026::1:2 and if that fails, ping 2026::34:2, yet this topology map shows something different.

  9. Pass
    February 15th, 2020

    @Anonymous, don’t worry about it, y don’t need to ping ipv6 address at the exam; if known the topology, you gonna need give the: show ipv6 ospf nei command, it enough.

  10. Anon
    February 15th, 2020

    @Roller

    2026::1:2 is to verify OSPF connectivity from R1 to R2

    2026::34:2 is to connect to the end of the GRE tunnel, if it works, issue is RIPNG, if not it’s GRE. Power of deduction.

    There are mixed messages regarding ticket 4, both on NetworkTUT ticket, in the comments and on the pingplans.

    There are three variations:
    4a: NAT inside on both sides
    4b: NAT outside on both sides
    4c: NAT ACL does not have permit statement for 10.2.0.0 0.0.255.255

    What is the correct answer on question 2? NAT or IP NAT?
    And what is the answer for question 2 on variation 4c? NAT, IP NAT or ACL?

  12. ZICO
    February 15th, 2020

    Today I passed with 1000/1000, followed the NULLZERO strategy.

    For Ticket 4 – IP NAT – Ping to R1 External Link to ISP 209.65.200.226 will fail.

    Q4 had slightly different options
    Which two commands can be used to show the number of packets dropped by Unicast RPF? (Choose two)
    A. show cef interface (not show ip interface)
    B. show interface
    C. show ip cef
    D. show ip traffic
    E. show cef traffic

    Correct Ans: A, D
    Good Luck Everyone !!!

  13. Anon
    February 15th, 2020

    @ZICO, congrats!

    Any chance if you remember if you picked NAT or IP NAT as the category for ticket 4?

  14. Raphilsikys
    February 15th, 2020

    Can anyone tell me how ticket 14 on EIGRP passive interface is doing? Is it just the command no passive interface in the EIGRP process or do I need to apply the no passive interface to both interfaces 0/0 and/or 0/1?
    Thanks my dears!

  15. aNON
    February 15th, 2020

    @Raphilsikys

    it’s “no passive interface” on the interfaces. There is no option to apply on the process in the exam.

    Just passed with 1000.

    I’ll just say, there is no need to follow SAM or Null strat. Just utilize ping and sho run.
    Just start from Client A, check ipconfig to make sure it’s receiving DHCP, then ping R1 Loopbacks, then R2’s, etc etc. Once a ping is unsuccessful, then you know there is an issue on that router and do a sho run.

    Thanks TUT!

  16. ZICO
    February 15th, 2020

    @ Anon, it was IP NAT.

  17. aNON
    February 15th, 2020

    Also, I only used everything from the Premium Membership, which provided MCQ, ticket and Sim test. I practiced those tests until I got everything correct. All in all, pay the man for the great info provided.

    @ZICO,
    Strange, I did receive “sho ip int” and “sho ip traffic”.

    @Anon,
    There is only ONE NAT question, NAT or IP NAT is the same thing and it’s only one that’s in the exam, so no choosing between one over the other.

    Ans1) R1
    Ans2) NAT
    Ans3) Under ISP interface Serial0/0/1 delete the ip nat inside command and add the ip nat outside command.

  18. Raphilsikys
    February 15th, 2020

    @aNON
    But i need to do “no passive interface” on both interfaces 0/0 and 0/1 or only on interface connected?
    Thanks for your answer!

  19. CCNPTODAY
    February 15th, 2020

    I passed today with full score
    -mcq nov is enough
    -sim BGP and HSRP are same as tut just in bgp change the IP for the peer on EBGP
    Tickets:
    3 of IPv6 (IPv6 OSPF enable on s0/0/0.23, IPv4&IPv6 interoperability, IPv6 ospf route for redistribute)
    IPv4: IP NAT (nat outside on s0/0/1), DHCP relay, access port (trunking mode instead access mode), Sw to Sw connectivity (port channel 13&23 allow vlan 10,200 and no shut fa 1/0/1), VLAN ACL/Port ACL (vlan filter), IPv4 EIGRP route (no passive int on both interfaces), IPv4 EIGRP Redistribution (change OSPF->EIGRP to OSPF_to_EIGRP), IPv4 OSPF Route (authentication on link to R2)

    When you select the button “ticket” shows a brief description and tell you “some changes… now 2026::x:x can’t ping Loopback…” it says that is IPv6 ticket, the other tickets just say that can’t reach the server 209.65.200.241 (for IPv4)

    Good luck everyone!

    @TO
    Very weird your exam experience. I had the same tickets I think but I didn’t see any interfaces down on ASW1 for ticket 13.

    for the last time there are different versions of the test my God r u kids as dumb as u look? thats why if u are lucky enough to get the version on here then yes u will get a 1000 otherwise u get a 53% in L2 and if u get 100% on all other topics u pass if u miss 1 other question u fail. Yes this is if u dont memeorize shit this is for the real net techs in the field the above reference is what i mean 1 version has interface down another version its up ..its so easy to figure this out how old r u kids thinking like this? does anyone here understand this at all?? over the last year thats all u talk about how come in my exam it said this and not in yours? how can that be impossible thats impossible I SAY . @TO u passed your test a month ago why r u throwing a monkey wrench with these people here? u know the real deal right u been on here for the past 3 months commenting fa what

    February 16th, 2020

    @ people with 1000 score please help me DSW1 vlan-list ticket in the exam I selected DSW1 but the answers didn’t match only matched when i selected ASW1. How do I troubleshoot this one? I got 76% in L2 and L3 53%. Which tickets are related to Layer 3 please help I have to retake exam this coming week.

  27. maria
    February 16th, 2020

    another thing kids arent telling u above comment by nerdys in the exam it tells u to scroll down on the menus it says that in the exam so nerdys scroll down like the cisca says to do and u will find your answer for dws1 there on bottom — the 1000 club will not answer this bc they r all fakes do u understand what do do now?

  28. @nerdyys
    February 16th, 2020

    You do the ipconfig on client 1, and you see it is APIPA. You do a sh run on ASW1 and DSW1, and you look for the three conditions that are associated with APIPA. When you see 10.2.1.129 as the ip helper, you know that it is a DHCP issue. It is just that easy.
    @maria – I got 1000/1000, so chill out dudette. It is possible, and lots of people here are doing it using Premium. It is the best investment you can make, and it is not expensive. Failing is expensive.
