Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here. |
This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…
Your posts are warmly welcome!
Exam’s Structure:
+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.
Topics of the lab-sims:
1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP
The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…
In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:
+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it
When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.
A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html
Note:
+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.
+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!
Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

@Digital
I had the same issue. Search in google for “enable flash chrome”. and you get the solution for that. I made it and its working now. They block flash content for security purposes.
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands.
In my exam I think I mistakenly chose:
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 followed by interface Fas 1/0/1, then no shutdown commands.
And I should have failed because I took 29% in layer 2 technologies…..
@anonymous
We just found the problem!!!!! I also had 29% layer 2 technologies and I chose the option that you have chosen, it is clear what is happening to all of us who are patting on layer 2 technologies.
The correct answer is:
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands.”
REPLACE WWW BY . to AND GET DUMPS
You test ccnp route?
Just failed, scored 741. the tickets looked similar to me and I got lost (Same question, same scenario for the most). I will retake it next week, no I will not quit. Good luck to ya’ll.
How ya’ll identify the tickets ? Any tips would be welcomed. Good luck
@Solid Snake, but will that command re-enable (no shut) Fa1/0/1? It seems as if it wouldn’t and Client1’s switch port would still be shutdown. Please confirm.
@REPLACE WWW BY . to AND GET DUMPS – get away from here man ! Yre just an idiot trying to sell dumps !
@network tut – he should be banned from this site, cause he is confusing people giving wrong informations in relation to questions included in the exam.
@testme
But I see differences between the 2 answers:
According to the networktut premium:
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands. Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.
BUT IN THE EXAM SAY ANSWER DOES NOT COME WITH THE “Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.” at the end.
IN THE REAL EXAM The answer you have Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.” at the end is ”
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 followed by interface Fas 1/0/1, Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.” at the end.
I hope you can see the differences and understand me.
@SolidSnake
switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 command ??
I cant understand how this can be correct. The command “Allowed, Allowed” exists ??? typed 2 times?
This is really weird….
@peter
skip that is a mistake
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed, vlan 10,200 commands.
@Solid Snake, thanks so much for trying to help. So you’re saying, on the real exam, the “no shutdown interface fa1/0/1” is there at the end of the command? If so, that makes sense and would seem like the correct answer. Thanks again.
I’ve been with these doubts for 2 days, I would like someone to approve with a 1000 to confirm it
@1000 to score
Please confirm:
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed, vlan 10,200 commands”
In the real exam only:
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed, vlan 10,200 commands”
In the real exam NO appears at the end ““no shutdown interface fa1/0/1”.
Attention only:
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed, vlan 10,200 commands”
We are many who are getting low percentages in layer 2 technologies and I think this is the reason
I think we need to check the configuration carefully, because on premium side of networktut, int fa1/0/1 in shutdown state. So we need to answer “Under interface Port-Channel 13, 23, add vlan 10,200 and then no shutdown interface fa1/0/1”. On exam the configuration can be a little difference.
@Solid Snake
Did you remember that the int fa1/0/1 in down state (shutdown in configurtaion)?
Anyway, one ticket can’t destroy your exam, so relax and prepare guys :)
I think is is not saying that. Its hard to understand what he means.
I think that is saying this:
The correct answer in networktut :
In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands. Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.
(notice that on the end of this solution you have the phrase “…Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1…” , at the end )
In the real Exam :
You dont have that option to choose (with the phrase “…Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1…”)
And he is telling that the correct answer is :
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 commands.”
@Snake – Am i understanding well?
@ Awesome network engineer
That is the key. If the interface is already up, probably you dont need to type the command “no shutdown fa1/0/1”.
@Peter, thanks for summarizing. That’s how I understood it too. I can confirm 100% that fa1/0/1 is shutdown on the actual exam. I’m thinking that simply clearing then adding vlans 10,200 on port channels 13 and 23 is not enough to no shut fa1/0/1, so having the “no shutdown interface fa1/0/1” at the end of the command seems like the correct choice but we’re hoping someone who received 100% on the Layer2 section of the actual exam can confirm.
@Peter
I undertood same like you. But my theory is that if on exam we have answer “In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 commands”, so the interface fa1/0/1 is UP, because without command no shutdown our client1 still have problems with network….
@Peter
hehe, we wrote messages at the same time :)
Maybe is a bug in the exam and thats another idiot question from cisco. Thats not good cause im doing the exam tomorrow. :-(
Hi Guys,
I Just passed my exam. Everything you need is in the premium section.
Thank the lord Networktut exists. This is site worth its weight in gold!
I could have passed without all the dumps, etc but have a very demanding job, young family and not enough time to study properly.
Hope this site is around for the new exam format in March.
Below is my strategy that I have used for the past 2 versions and passed every time.
The exam I took today I only needed 10 days (30mins on the train to work & 2 hours a night in the evenings).
Copy and paste into word (Landscape view) and memorize the below.
424 002 111 (remember these numbers))
Write them out like below, the numbers on the left are IPv4 tickets, on the right IPv6 tickets:
4, ASW1
2, DSW1
4, R1
0, R2 1
0, R3 1
2, R4 1
PDSAVE NBAO PROGR
P ASW1 Port-Security – PC1 and PC2 can’t ping. Down + error disabled. no switchport port-security / shut / no shut.
D DSW1 DHCP Helper – see APIPA address on PCs, delete ip helper-address 10.2.21.129, add 10.1.21.129
S ASW1 switch to switch port-channel 13, 23 / sw trunk allowed vlan add 10,200 / no shutdown int fa1/0/1
A ASW1 access Vlan – check vlan1 ports. int range fa1/0/1-2 / switchport access vlan 10
V can’t ping 10.1.1.1/10.2.1.254 DSW1 – VACL/PACL – no vlan filter test1 vlan-list 10
E ASW1 Encapsulation – int range fa1/0/1-2 / switchport mode access / no switchport trunk encap dot1q
N can ping 10.1.1.1 R1 NAT , change s0/0/1 to be ip nat outside, change s0/0/0 to be ip nat inside
B can ping 10.1.1.1 R1 BGP Neighbor, no bgp neighbor 209.56.200.226…/ neighbor 209.65.200.226 remote-as 65002
A can ping 10.1.1.1 R1 ip access-list extended edge_security / permit 209.65.200.224 0.0.0.3 any
O can ping 10.1.1.2 R1 OSPF authentication – s0/0/0.12 / ip ospf auth message-digest
Can ping 10.2.1.254:
P can’t ping 10.1.1.1 R4 IPv4 EIGRP Routing – no passive-interface default OR on interface fa0/0 + fa0/1
R can’t ping 10.1.1.1 R4 Redistribution – EIGRP process change “xxxx->xxxx” to “xxxx_xxxx” or change route-map deny 20 to permit 20
O R2 – IPv6 – OSPF routing int S0/0/0.23 / ipv6 ospf 6 area 0
G R3 – GRE – IPv4 + IPv6 / Int Tu34 / remove tunnel mode ipv6
R R4 – RIPng – Ipv6 OSPF routing / IPv6 OSPF process add redistribute rip RIP_Zone include-connected
As you can’t hop between Tickets like in version 1 exam, i.e, in version 2+3 exam start Q1 complete then move onto Q2……follow the steps below:
ping from the PCs to :
ping 10.1.1.1
ping 10.1.1.2
Ping 10.2.1.254
Ping PCs
1. Can the PCs ping each other? If not Port Security TT or DHCP Helper TT
2. The PCs can ping each other but no further, carry on with the 4 other 10.2.1.x (SAVE)
3. ping 10.1.1.1. Check these 3 tickets + refer to steps 678 below
4. ping 10.1.1.2 not 10.1.1.1, if so OSPF auth TT, sh run on R1 + R2
5. ping 10.2.1.254 not 10.1.1.1. Check these 2 tickets
6. From R1 ping R3 S0/0/0.23 IPv6, if not, IPv6 OSPF TT
7. From R1 ping R4 Tu IPv6 address, if not, GRE TT
8. RIPng IPv6 OSPF TT
Good Luck!
Passed with 1000/1000. Everything in the premium is exactly here (except BPG simlet). Even the IPs. Wording for the MCQ may be a little different on some question including the answers but the main wordings are in there so you know which answer to choose.
The BGP IP address is different. The no neighbor “IP address” remote-as 64525 input will be different from the website. Just look at the show ip bgp summary and there’s an ip not on the topology. If you look @ Solid Snake’s answer on 637 of this forum you will see what I mean.
For the tickets, I just used the SAM strategy and it all worked out. NO bugs for me. Thank goodness!
Thanks NetworkTUT and everyone who gave their insight to the test.
Today was my last day to use this site. So I won’t be able to answer any questions you may have. Good Luck to everyone. You can all do it, just take your time when doing the test.
Just passed with 1000/1000
Absolutley everything here is valid. This site is all you need to pass – get a Premium Membership! $15 for 15 days is nothing! Do the exam before it changes on the 23rd.
Hi All,
I have created this strategy from SID, SAM and NULLZERO in details, still adjusting and providing more details.
Please help to validate and let me know for errors.

@ Peter
Right, You have understood
I confirm that in my exam there was also fas 1/0/1 in disabled
The correct answer is
“In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 commands.”
But on the exam without the “Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.” at the end
PLEASE, those who have taken 100% in layer 2 technologies, confirm if that is the answer you have marked in the exam.
Thanks!!!
@Solid Snake end all
in my exame,at the (Ticket 9 ), yes appears in one of them the options ” no shutdown interface fa1/0/1″ at the end. and in fact that interface was DOWN. Absolutley everything here is valid. I advise you to purchase a premium account.
I think there must be a step by step procedure to gain time as there is a lot of lab. If so thanks to share
@XxX i have premium account.
I’ve been saying the following for 2 days:
