Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    Are you guys stating that the November MCQ bank is the only questions you guys see when you’re taking recent test?

    @Solid Snake, there are also two similar options in the exam?

    1.) In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 followed by interface Fas 1/0/1, then no shutdown commands.

    2.) In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands. Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.

    sorry for the late post, i took the exam last Feb. 1, i got 1000/1000, all tickets, MCQ, Simlets are valid. good luck to all

    @iamjayta

    What ticket questions were on the exam and what do you suggest to take the exam?

  5. Solid Snake
    February 7th, 2020

    @SDS

    in the exam the answer comes without the “Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.”:

    In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands.

    @Minerva, follow the Ping Plan, review all the tickets, MCQs, Simlets (HSRP and BGP). Nov2019 dumps are still valid.

  7. iamjayta
    February 7th, 2020

    i suggest do not rush to answer the question. Review the tickets 3 more times before finalizing your answer. good luck

    Passed today, 1000/1000. Dumps are valid, no new MCQ.

    Always check interface fa1/0/1 for port-security. You can use command “show interface fa1/0/1” on ASW1. If the status is up/up and connected, then the problem isn’t with port-security.

    @Solid Snake

    “…in the exam the answer comes without the “Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1.”:

    In the exam ? What exam ? , the real one , or the simulator ? Be specific.

  10. Solid Snake
    February 7th, 2020

    @Kyrgios – I examined and suspended.

    In the REAL exam the only answer that the then no shutdown commands has is:

    In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,200 followed by interface Fas 1/0/1, then no shutdown commands.

    But as I have observed, I believe that the correct answer in the real exam is:

    In configuration mode, using the interface range port-channel 13, port-channel 23, then configure switchport trunk allowed vlan none followed by switchport trunk allowed allowed, vlan 10,200 commands.

    The problem is that this answer does not include then no shutdown commands at the end of the answer and that got me confused…

    February 7th, 2020

    @Solid Snake
    I guess the answer would depend on the output of the show ip interface brief command then. It never made much sense to me how the problem was on 2 different fronts, the Po and the Int itself anyways.
    But if you do show ip interface brief and the Fas1/0/1 is up, well that’s not the issue

    BUt of course thanks a lot for the insight

  12. Twice
    February 7th, 2020

    Twice.
    Done and thanks.
    Carefully with 2 questions:
    Ticket 1 – OSPF Authentication
    On “sh ip ospf” in both routers (R1 and R2) in the exam can’t see a OSPF Authentication problem, only with the sh run.
    Ticket 13 – DHCP Helper-address
    On this ticket in the exam, on ASW1 the command “sh port-security” gives shutdown but the command “sh ip int brief” or “sh int fa1/0/1” gives port up so look to DSW1.
    And all MQCs and tickets from Premium account.
    Only November MCQ. To see full questions headers go to dumps base.

    @Guys who made the exam today.

    Did you had ticket 9 on your exam? SolidSnake says there is a “bug” . Available answers are not like here in network tut. Which answer did you choose?

    Ticket 9 is :

    February 7th, 2020

    @Kyrgios, I took it yesterday. I did not see any confusion between answers, it was pretty clear. I don’t recall the exact wording, but there was only one answer that….

    1) Selected Po13 and Po23 and
    2) Trunk allowed both vlan 10,200

    We’re splitting hairs though, just make sure to choose the answer that allows VLAN 10 & 200 on the port channels 13 & 23.

    @peery

    That’s the ke!!! “2) Trunk allowed both vlan 10,200″

    The problem is that the answer that contains that doesn’t contain at the end ” Then no shutdown interface fa 1/0/1″

    It’s what got me confused

    I took the exam on 2/4 and passed with 1000/1000. (TSHOOT for third time for CCNP certification/renewals)

    All MCQs are valid (Nov2019), but wording was different on a few questions. Same BGP Sim and HSRP SIM. The rest are sims and all are from this web site. No surprises. Studying with networktut premium membership is just fine for this exam, I think.

    February 7th, 2020

    Passed today with nearly full points. I messed up one GRE question (there were two in my case, I only found one here) But everything here is valid.
    I did not follow Sams ping plan, honestly I didn’t want to memorize the whole ping plan because I’m lazy. I made my own troubleshooting strategy which worked at the exam and also at work for years now.
    Try to learn the topology before the exam (OSPF Areas, where is summarization, …) This saves you a lot of time you can investigate in real troubleshooting. Actually I just looked at the topology to be sure that I don’t mix something up.

    Good luck to all of you.

    Passed the exam today 9xx, i knew what i got wrong after i hit next otherwise 1000. All you need is one week of Premium Tut, do not use anything else!! Everything is in Premium, same tickets, HSRP, BGP and MCQs as stated in Premium.

    Thank you so much NetworkTut!

    Good Luck to you all, get this done and nailed before the 24th. Good Luck people :)

    “Recertified”
    I Passed Yesterday (9xx / 1k) every thing here is valid 100%.
    My recommendation is to practice with the premium version that helped me a lot to have a close vision of the exam.

    My recommendation:
    – If you have any doubt with one technology study the main principle because, this exam is tricky and you can you enter in doubt situations
    – On the real exam questions you can get different IPs or IP Ranges but the essence is the same
    – On the TT dont hurry, check several times the questions and answers before move to the next question
    – Learn basic commands to troubleshoot in case you encounter commands that doesnt work, for example show interfaces status

    In Resume, If you know the technologies and have experience you will pass without problem, however if you don’t know what you are doing, this exam it can make you doubt a lot, be confident in your strategy

    Good luck to everyone

    Hi , I have a question

    for the Multiple Choice Questions, do they come only from the 12 questions in Nov update or they come from all the previous updates?

  25. 679
    February 7th, 2020

    @Speedy, they come from the 12 MCQs for Nov (just the latest ones)

    Hey everyone I took the exam last night and everything that is on this site was on the exam. I got a 980 but I believe that was due to second guessing on a question. All you need is to study everything on here and you will be good to go to pass the exam. Good luck to everyone who is going for their exam!

    February 7th, 2020

    @Digital I had the same issue, I installed Google Chrome and ran the tickets on there. Remember you need to enable Flash in Chrome for it to work and then allow it everytime you use Chrome and the Premium section. Google how to enable Flash on Chrome if you struggle.
