Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    Ticket-13

Yes I did run “show int fa1/0/1” and could see interfaces on ASW1 are up. There was port security configured but Mac wasn’t 0000.0000.0001. Plus no violation and port was up.
    ASW1 was unable to pick dhcp-helper too I.e. 10.1.21.129.

No worries. As I said above haven’t seen T-7 coming in exam from few weeks. So even with the bug I think ticket will be T-13. But again better to check with there is any security violation in interfaces and Mac-address configured ok the ASW1 interfaces.

for those who recently took their exam by any chance have you notice if this indicator shows on each ticket questions? Thank you!

    Tickets
    IPv4 Question:
both Client 1 and Client 2 to access the WEB Server at 209.65.200.241.

    IPV6 Question:
loopback address on R1 (2026::111:1) is not able to ping the loopback address on DSW2 (2026::102:1)

  12. CiscoMan
    February 4th, 2020

@Ceejay, yes they do. when you’ll click on Ticket tab in exam it will tell you above so you’ll know if ticket is related to ipv6 or ipv4.
On top you can also ping webserver 209.65.200.241 from client-1 everytime. If ping is OK this is IPv6. If not then IPv4.

Only ticket where ping to webserver was successful in IPv4 case was Ticket-10 but that has been removed from exam.

Hi Guys, Passed yesterday with 1000. All the same questions from Nov and trouble tickets.

    February 5th, 2020

    Regarding ticket 4:

According to the non-premium networktut for ip nat inside in serial 0/0/1 in R1:

Answer) Under interface Serial0/0/1 delete the ip nat inside command and add the ip nat outside command.

According the premium networktut for ip nat inside in serial 0/0/1 in R1:

Answer) Under the interface serial 0/0/1 configuration enter the “ip nat outside” command

    Which option would be correct?

  27. @Solid Snake
    February 5th, 2020

It depends on what you see in the configuration. There is a 4a and a 4b, one for inside and one for outside. You need to make sure you have one on one interface and one on the other interface, so it depends on what you see which you choose. They got tricky on this one.

    R1-4 tickets
    R41-4 tickets
    ASW1-4 tickets
    DSW1-2 tickets
    IPV6-3 tickets(R2, R3 and R4)

-Figure out IPv4 or Ipv6 ticket by looking at TICKET TAB
    -IPv4 go to client if IPv6, go to R2, R3, R4
-iPV4 if NO IP or cannot ping GW, problem is on ASW1 OR DSW1
-IPv4 if GW pining ok ping to 10.1.1.1 is ok problem is on R1
-ipV4 ping to 10.1.1.1 is not ok but ping to 10.1.1.2 ok, problem is on R1
-IPv4 ping to 10.1.1.1 is not ok or 10.1.1.2 is not ok but only GW, check DSW1
-If IPv6 you need the command #show ipv6 ospf neighbor

    Good luck to all

IPv4 ping to 10.1.1.1 is not ok or 10.1.1.2 is not ok but only GW, check R4(not DSW1)
