January 22nd, 2015 Go to comments
Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    @Ghost, yes I can tell was really close. But glad you passed.
    Looks like there was another ticket wrong other than the above you mentioned. any idea which one was the other one? I have exam today and really nervous now. lol

    @Ghost
    “had Port-Sec, IP Helper problem” did you do sh int fa1/0/1 ( interface to client 1) on ASW1 and see error disabled on this port? Or you only used “sh port-security” command?

    @CiscoMan
    On the Nat ticket you can ping the 209.65.200.241 from all routers and DSW1 so check R1. This is the bug.

    @CiscoMan
    On the ticket 6 be carefully. Pay attention to the note.
    Ans1) DSW1
    Ans2) VLAN ACL/Port ACL
    Ans3) Under the global configuration mode enter no vlan filter test1 vlan-list 10 command.

    Note: After choosing DSW1 for Ans1, next page (for Ans2) you have to scroll down to find the VLAN ACL/Port ACL option. The scroll bar only appears in this ticket and is very difficult to be seen. Also make sure you choose DSW1 (not ASW1) for the first question as there is also “VLAN ACL/Port ACL” option for answer 2 if you choose ASW1 but it is wrong.

    @That_Guy— sorry to hear that. :(
    Is it ok to ask what went wrong with those two DSW1 tickets you mentioned?

  7. Ghost
    February 4th, 2020

    @CiscoMan Mate don’t be nervous, this only happened to 2 people so its rare. Be confident & take your time, don’t rush it.
    I chose opsf auth 1 twice, so i guess 2nd time was right.

    Hi guys, just a question: in the real exam can you re-select each option (1-2-3) if you think to have chose the wrong one? I mean for example you chose in Option 2 IP4_IPV6 Interoperability and then go to Option 3 for the last choice BUT there you can find the right choice so you want to change Option 2 for example to IPV4 OSPF Redistribution………?

    Thank you

    February 4th, 2020

    @nameless
    You can reselect the options many times until you click “Done”. After “done” ticket button will be red, any you can not go back anymore. Be careful with ticket 6, the answer is hidden. Even I knew that, i missed it and lost a lot of point.
    Everithing from this site just register.
    Thanks Networktut!

    Hello guys,

    My country doesn’t let me pay via paypal , so I can’t become premium member but I need it.

    If one of you passed the exam, can you share with me the account? If you want I can share your cost by paying cryptocurrency if you are ok with that.

    Thanks in advance. muqlot at hotmail dot com

    You do not need a premium member account. Read all Tickets at this site, sim and questions and you will passed the troubleshoot exam. I took the exam today and passed. I don’t have any premium account. Read the comment form “Passed Today” above.

    Hello all,

    anyone who have passed the exam, which is the best way to solve the tickets, do you have to go to all the routers and switches to identify the fault, am thinking I can start from the answers and hint the type of the topology is it possible ?

    I will appreciate any heads-up.

    Which all vlans must be allowed on asw1 port channels 13 and 23 for the topology to work. If not then where does the packet fail?

    @Kelvincenka

    IPv4 or IPv6?
    If IPv4 then ipconfig on client 1
    If client 1 does not have a valid IP then check on ASW1 (Access Vlan, Port Security, Trunk, Encapsualtion Type), on DSW1 (IP Helper), on R4 (IP DHCP excluded)

    If client 1 has a valid IP then ping 10.1.1.1 from R1
    If Ping 10.1.1.1 from client 1 ok then check on R1 (BGP, IP NAT, NAT Outsside, IP ACL), DSW1 (HSRP)

    If ping 10.1.1.1 from client not ok then ping 10.1.1.2 from client 1
    If ping 10.1.1.2 from client 1 ok then check on R1 (OSPF Authentication)

    If ping 10.1.1.2 from client 1 not ok then ping 10.2.1.1 from client 1
    If ping 102.1.1. from client 1 ok then check on R4 (EIGRP-AS, EIGRP Passive Interface, EIGRP Route redistribution)

    If ping 10.2.1.1. from client 1 not ok then check on DSW1 (VLAN filter)
    Endif IPv4

    If IPv6 then ping 2026::1:2 from R1
    If ping 2026::1:2 from R1 not ok then check on R2 (IPv6 OSPF)

    If ping 2026::1:2 from R1 ok then ping 2034::1:2 from R1
    If ping 2026::34:2 from R1 not ok then check on R3 (GRE Tunnel)

    If ping 2026::34:2 from R1 ok then check on R4 (IPv6 RIPng)
    Endif IPv6
