Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    This is the IPv6 ACL question in the exam, answered in the PDF. So you’re telling me that beside this one you got *another* IPv6 ACL question?

    Refer to the exhibit. Which sequence number must be moved to the top of the ACL to enable access from R3 to R2?

    IPv6 access list PERMIT_SSH
    10 deny tcp 2001:ABC:2000::/36 host 2000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 23
    20 permit tcp 2001:ABC:2000:2:2::/64 hsot 2fe000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 22
    30 deny tcp 2002:ABC:2000::/36 host 2000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 22
    40 permit tcp 2000:ABC:2000::/36 host 2000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 22
    50 permit tcp 2000:ABC:2000::/36 host 2000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 23
    60 permit tcp host 2002:ABC:2000:2:2::2 host 2000:ABC:20:2:2::2 eq 22
    70 deny ipv6 any any

    A. 20
    B. 40
    C. 50
    D. 60

    Answer: D

    Correct. There was another IPV6 question in the exam today.
    All other MCQs, LABs, etc where wellknown from the Nov PDF.

    It was the first question that was asked so I was I bit confused at the beginning. Something like what is the command to place an Access IPV6 List on an interface

    Sorry that I can`t remeber what the question was excatly.

    By the way the question that you posted where although been asked ;)

    January 31st, 2020

    So you’re talking about this question, which is included in the PDF as well.

    Which configuration command is used to add an IPv6 ACL to an interface?
    A. ipv6 access-class (in/out)
    B. ipv6 traffic-filter (in/out)
    C. ip access-class (in/out)
    D. ip accesss-group (in/out)

    Answer: B

  19. Passed!
    January 31st, 2020

    Just passed the exam with score 923. I also had the new ipv6 question in my exam. So dont ignore the question. All remaining questions are from the site only. Thanks Networktut ! I used SAM ping plan and it worked great. The only question I lost mark must be the VLAN ACL . I couldnt see VLAN ACL option for DSW1 at all. It was present only for ASW1 and I had to chose it but Cisco deducted marks for it :( . People who scored 1000 , did you see VACL option for DSW1?

    Hi Guys, i just did my exam 923/1000
    it was a little tricky because I used some commands not allowed for my strategy example: show interface, show ip nat translation, show ip access list

    tickets:
    R1: OSPF MSG DIGEST, IP NAT INSIDE
    R2: IPV6 OSPF AREA 0
    R3: TUNNEL MODE IPV6
    R4: OSPF_TO_EIGRP
    DSW1: DHCP IP, VLAN FILTER
    ASW1: DOT1Q, VLAN20 PORT CHANNEL
    I failed one ticket because i cant identified it maybe it was “err dis” in ASW1 but not sure

    LAB SIMS: HSRP & BGP (Be sure to do “enable” on R1)
    MCQ: NOV QUESTIONS

    Hi Guys, I just got back from the test Center bad news… I scored 840/1000 and we need 846 to pass the test.

    I got 24 questions, were 1 got 9 tickets + 1 new BGP simutation + 1 HSRP scenario using R1,R2,R4,R5. + questions (most of them from the test).

    The tickets I got were:

    R1-OSPF Auth
    R1-NAT
    ASW1-PORT-CHANNELS13 and 23 + int fa1/0/1 shutdown
    ASW1-Interfaces Fa1 y Fa2 on Trunk mode not access mode
    R4-EIGRP Passive Interface
    R4-Redistrib OSPF_to_EIGRP
    DSW1-VLAN Filter
    R2-IPv6 OSPF
    R3-GRE Tunnel34

    ******GUYS!!! I NEED THE HRSP SIMULATION!!! DOES ANY ONE HAS IT??? ******

    I didnt have much time for the BGP SIM

    I recall the BGP simutation is a 5 routers scenario where 3 routers R1,R2 and R3 belong to an AS 64520, other routers are RA, RB and they belong on AS 64525.

    In 64520 routers R1 R2 and R3 speak OSPF as IGP and they run iBGP using they loopback interfaces.
    In 64525 routers RA and RB use EIGRP as a IGP and they are also running iBGP with they loopback addresses.

    R1 is connected to RA and has an eBGP session
    R2 is connected to RB and has an eBGP session.

    you can only enter the console on R1 (I think) and when you check the BGP config you see that the peer-group called IBGP is pointing to the wrong AS number (65520). thats the first problem.

    Al the begining in R! you only see 3 BGP session as “idle” and after changing the peer-group to the correct AS 64520 2 sessions come UP. but the eBGP session is pointing to the wrong IP. I didnt had much time to look at it… Im sorry I hope this helps… we need to find the simulations from BGP and HSRP tickets are pretty much the same…
