Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

    New question in exam.
Drag and drop the actions from the left into the correct order on the right to troubleshoot a phone registration issue by using the bottom up approach.
    Answers:
1- Confirm that enough power is received by using the PoE
2- Confirm that the phone is on the correct VLAN
3- Verify the DHCP server configuration and option 150
4- Verify the configuration file from the TFTP server

    @ab
    Thank you.
If I succes my Route module (2nd try) I thinking to passed the Tbshoot with prenium.
But I am no so very smart, so my question…

  13. ab
    January 31st, 2020

    @newex
Route is by far the hardest exam of the 3. tshoot i have really enjoyed but its hard to enjoy it if you have a deadline to complete it. If you are in IT for your job troubleshooting daily then it makes its even easier because its a matter of pinging and using the show run command. There are a couple more cammands but never the less this exam is not like any of the other 2.

  14. Sina
    January 31st, 2020

    @ newex
The tshoot exam is very easy. 2 weeks is more than enough. just read the November Questions and tickets. there is gns3 version of all the tickets. practice them one or 2 times. your score will be over 900

@madestro Mate on your memebership page you’ll see a option “return home” click you’ll see everything. Happened to me aswell.

@ab i found switch the hardest haha

  16. AB
    January 31st, 2020

@ghost I think its because i work on switchs all day everyday so i’m good with them. Routers are normally done by the ISP so dont really get involved in them.

Hi, are packet tracert files shared by buddy enough to practice the tikets? the topology says 642-832, not 300-135.

    thanks

  18. Ghost
    January 31st, 2020

@ab maybe but the thing is i have Zero experience. Also quick question though, do you think the exam simulator can detect where you’re pinging from. I mean lets say when it marks, you were suppose to ping from R1 but you detected problem from R3, does that work? Answer is right anyway so i was thinking maybe it downmarks you

  19. AB
    January 31st, 2020

    @ghost
Nah i dont think they will down mark you for pinging from any device its tshoot you would test all sorts in real life.

  20. Ghost
    January 31st, 2020

@ab good to know, Thanks man

My exam will be in 6 days, email is onemant1m at yahoo dot com

    Hello ,

which multiple questions are valid for the tshoot exam, recent takers? I see here like the tickets are based on a single question someone advise.

  28. Phil
    January 31st, 2020

I was on the exam today.

1 New MCQ the rest can be find here and is still valid. Something like IPV6 ACL if I remeber correct.

    Thanks for your Work Guys!

  29. Kelvincenka
    January 31st, 2020

@ phil which MCQ questions should I expect ? all the questions from MCQ section or part of it.

  30. Burìk
    January 31st, 2020

There are no new MCQs. The one related to the IPv6 ACL is already covered by the PDF, the answer being the one with the 60 ACL sequence number.
