Your posts are warmly welcome!
Exam’s Structure:
+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.
Topics of the lab-sims:
1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP
The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…
In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:
+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it
When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.
A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html
Note:
+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.
+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!
Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

IPv6 Layer 3 Topology
Layer 2-3 Topology
You can download the SAM strategy here (specially thanks to SAM who created this strategy):

@Juli
Yes, you can go back and forth through the three questions within a ticket as long as you like. The ticket is closed only when you click the DONE button. Be warned though, the DONE button does NOT have a confirmation popup, once you hit DONE, it’s closed forever. So keep your mouse pointer away from that button until you’re 100% sure of the answer.
Passed with 1000
No surprise. All from network tut. Do not look any where for correct answer.
Everything from this site.
hello friends, am taking my exam tomorrow…pls update the forum if the MCQs are still the same, if anyone has taken the test today. I shall too update my feedback tomorrow after my exam…
@TIME: Congrats and thanks for the update.
@TIME
Congrats !
Did you get the two sims ? and how about the multi choice Q ?
I sat exam today and only one ticket I couldn’t figure out the problem. Not sure if missing only one ticket would fail me?
@Failed Today 23-Jan if you followed Sam strategy or NULLzero it means you missed up two tickets not 1. What was your ticket behavior? were you able to 10.1.1.1? There was a previous post about R2 ipv6 that has similar ticket issue with R1 ipv4 ospf authentication but the question did say about IPV6.
hi , How do we know which ticket we got in the exam
@Nick I could ping 209.65.200.241 from DSW1 but not from client 1 or Client 2. I have checked ASW1 to find VLAN 10 is assigned to Fa1/0/1 and Fa1/0/2, ASW1 interfaces are up, Trunk interfaces allowing VLAN 10, no Filter on DSW1 ( I scanned the run configuration tons of times), I checked Ipconfig on Client1 and 2 to find IPs are assigned and I checked IP helper on DSW1 for double confirmation to find the right Loopback for R4 (I did it as affirmation though there was no need as Clients assigned the IPs).
Hi for those who has recertified
Can you confirm once you recert, does the old exam still show expiring and only the CCNP R & S is renewed but not your exams such as switch n route?
thanks
@Nick, what does it mean exactly? “if you followed Sam strategy or NULLzero it means you missed up two tickets not 1”
So even if I follow the strategy of SAM or NULLZERO, is it hardly certain that I will miss two tickets?
@Hello
1. 2 SIM (HSRP and BGP)
2. only study 12 MCQ from Nov 13.
3. and practice 17 ticket from this site.
if you complete above 3, you will be getting 100% Mark.
I have premium account , so i have practiced all TT from this site which helped me a lot.
Also before the exam during training mode, I have written all the 17 ticket and possible problem.
during exam, whichever i have completed just crossed it so it was very easy for me to identify each of them.
@icebw22: On the new tracker, Yes it still shows expiring. But it also shows the new recently passed exam which still expires 3 yrs from now. And your certifications with updated expiration date
@TIME, congrats, thanks for feedback
Hello
EIGRP is being used as the routing protocol on the Company network. While troubleshooting some network connectivity issues, you notice a large number of EIGRP SIA (Stuck in Active) messages. What causes these SIA routes? (Select two)
A. The neighboring router stops receiving ACK packets from this router.
B. The neighboring router startshp receiving route updates from this router.
C. The neighboring router is too busy to answer the query (generally caused by high CPU utilization).
D. The neighboring router is having memory problems and cannot allocate the memory to process the query or build the reply packet.
I would say C&D

Why are you posting lies and crap. The pass mark for the TSHOOT exam is 846/1000, yet the opening line of your message is “I passed with 843/1000”.
The whole point of posting messages on this site is provide useful information to help those who are going to take the exam to pass.
Alright, let’s sum it up.
In the exam you will get 12 multiple choice questions, 2 simlets and 10 random tickets out of a pool of 15 tickets.
1) TICKETS [on the exam click on the “Ticket” button to tell if it’s IPv4 or IPv6]
IPv4, ping from Client1:
ping 10.1.1.1 OK or 10.1.1.2 OK? The problem is on R1
ping KO on both the above and 10.2.1.1 OK? The problem is on R4
ping KO on all of the above: the problem is either on DSW1 or ASW1
IPv6, ping from R1:
ping 2026::1:2 KO? The problem is on R2
ping 2026::34:2 KO? The problem is on R3
ping 2026::34:2 OK? The problem is on R4
You need to know the above like the back of your hand. Practice on writing it down and at the exam do the same on the drawing board, it will be an invaluable help.
Refer to the PDF file found in the Q&A section on this site to tell which problem affects whatever device.
Practice the labs with either the Premium simulator or the GNS3 labs you find in the last comments of the Practice TSHOOT section on this site.
Using the above method, only ping and show run commands are required.
2) SIMLETS
The answers for the HSRP sim are “TADD”. That is, in this exact order:
1. the one mentioning TRACK issues
2. the one mentioning ACL issues
3. the one mentioning DISTRIBUTE lists issues
4. the one mentioning DHCP issues
The solution for the BGP sim is as follows [copy run start not implemented / not necessary]:
router bgp 64520
neighbor IBGP remote-as 64520
no neighbor 209.165.200.2 remote-as 64525
neighbor 209.165.201.2 remote-as 64525
3) MCQ
Practice the questions with this VCE:
easyupload DOT io/bdgwso
That’s it. You absolutely do not need anything else. The exam is the hardest of the three, but with the above notions becomes the easiest.
@Burìk Thanks a lot !!!

@REPLACE WWW BY . to AND GET DUMPS – How did you pass with an 843 when then passing score is 846?
Passed few hours back with score 1000 All Mc, sim and tickets from here, I studied only from this site only to renew my certificate, I’d like to thank network tut and all people commented here.

Passed today.
Everything here is valid.
@test thanks for the clarification
hi guys. where can i donwload the labs for pratice? thanks
A few more hints here and there:
– if you’re a non-native English speaker ask the test center to change the keyboard layout to US *before* the exam starts, otherwise there is no guarantee that the colons (:) will work, and you need them for IPv6 tickets.
– you can go back and forth through the three questions [which device causes the issue / which technology is used / how to fix the issue] within a ticket as long as you like. The ticket is closed only when you click the DONE button. Be warned though, the DONE button does NOT have a confirmation popup, once you hit DONE, it’s closed forever. So keep your mouse pointer away from that button until you’re 100% sure of the answer.
– regarding Ticket 1 [OSPF Authentication] do NOT assume that if you do not see “ip ospf authentication message-digest” under the serial interface then you’re actually dealing with T1, because the authentication may be enabled *under the OSPF process itself*. Refer to https://www.networktut.com/tshoot-ticket-1 for more details.
– to solve the tickets you only need the show run and ping commands. Nothing else. Use my strategy from my previous post above, ping to find the device, sh run to find the problem. Do that and, ironically, you will be able to pass the exam even if you don’t know anything about networking.
– MCQ, Tickets and Simlets are all mixed up. So you may get one ticket, then one MCQ, then another ticket, then one simlet, etc. Once you hit the NEXT button WAIT FOR THE INTERFACE TO FULLY LOAD THE PAGE or the interface itself may crash on you. You’ll know that a Ticket is fully loaded when you see a vertical scrollbar on the “Instructions” section, that’s the last GUI element that will be loaded.
– when you get Ticket 6 [VLAN filter] remember then on the 2nd answer [which technology is used] you have to SCROLL DOWN to find the right answer. The scrollbar is hard to spot because it’s almost the same color as the background. Yes, that’s how awful this interface is. Refer to https://www.networktut.com/tshoot-ticket-6 for more details.
– do NOT trust people failing the exam that are reporting that the exam has changed, that questions are different from this site, etc. They don’t know what they’re blabbing about. Poor English skills and the clear fact that they couldn’t tell a router from a tape recorder are clear signs that these people can’t be trusted. Me and dozens of my colleagues have all taken the exam these days and we have ALL passed with full score. The exams have been consolidated and there are very little chances that something will change within the next month. Worst it could happen, they will either add or change an MCQ.
– needless to say, do NOT buy dumps anywhere, do not trust the scammers that are hanging around here, none of them have anything useful to offer.
– STOP ASKING FOR DUMPS! You don’t need anything else than what you can find yourself on this site, which is summarized in my own two posts.
Add to this post the infos I have posted in my previous post above and you’ll pass for sure.
In summary:
The tickets don’t change (I took this exam in 2018 and 2020) and is was the same
The MCQ/D&D can change in anytime. It is the true
