Exam’s Structure:
+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.
Topics of the lab-sims:
1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP
The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…
In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:
+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it
When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.
A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html
Note:
+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.
+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!
Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

@hario ,
i start troubleshooting from the PC1 , the issue for me that when i ping the web server in all the ticket . the PING is OK .
for the ospf NSSA issue i found in the ip route on R3 that i don’t see all the route , so when comparing the configuration i found nssa default-information-originate. not in R3 .
and the answer told you that you need to add this command .
for me i had a bad exprience a big issue with the system , that had make very hard to have the CCNP .
i had open a ticket on the support and i will told you guys
@anonyms
What strange! you can do ping to the server (it can be a bug), but you must begin the troubleshooting with ping to 10.2.1.254 (int vlan 10), 10.1.4.5 (R4), etc etc
Passed today with 1000. Only November dumps are needed to pass the exam. Labs and sims are valid.
My strategy was as below.
Ipconfig => APIPA = problem with asw1 or DSW1
ping 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2 => no ping = problem with R1
Ping 10.2.1.1 => successful ping = problem with R4
Ping 10.2.1.1 => no ping = problem with DSW1
FOR IPV6, PING FROM R1
ping R3=> no ping = problem with R2
Ping R4 2026::34:2 => no ping = problem with R3
Ping R4 2026::34:2 => successful ping = problem with R4
Hope this helps
Premium is worth every penny
@hario ,
i know , let you know but i guss it’s is a bug , since i got the same ticket 8 time . the ticket is the bgp neighbor . but the stranger thing also that normaly what i need to do is Under the BGP process, delete the neighbor 209.56.200.226 remote-as 65002 command and enter the neighbor 209.65.200.226 remote-as 65002 command. but the issue that alrady configuration is ussed 209.65.200.226
@anonyms
But if you see the neighbor command correct, then it is another ticket, you must check the another options. in R1, the tickets could be BGP, NAT, OSPF auth, layer 3 security (ipv4)
@hario @anonymns – It is a big bug in all the tickets in this exam. When ever i move between questions on each ticket. multiple choice answers are keep changing. So the scenario and questions are not at all matching. Im going to raise complaint with Cisco. I failed today’s exam. I also added comments section on each question. My entire efforts are wasted. This issue happened for me in all tickets.
Hi every one!
I passed tshoot today with 1000 points!!!
All valid, no changes!
The MCQ november 13th is valid!!
Good luck!!
even if it’s another ticket , the answer in all the ticket that i get is the same ( bgp neighbor ) . I agree with SARAS , today i had a big bug on the system , hope cisco will fixe that
@saras
Sorry about your exam. But is it your first time in a tshoot exam? The tshoot exam is so hard if you haven’t studied the topology and the tickets (Multiple choice in each ticket, the “done” button, etc). The strategy is not do ping in the server but else in each devices you must do ping.
If you have new question, put in this forum, because I already passed only with MCQs/D&D of Nov 2019 in Jan 20th. But these can change in anytime. The ticket never change because I took the exam in 2018 and I saw the same tickets today in 2020.
@anonyms1000 congrats!
Someone reported that they had TICKET#2 (HSRP) on 2020-Jan-06 Has anyone else seen it?..…..Does the question in the ticket gives you a hint that this is an HSRP issue?, ie. Does it says?:
“…”Recently the implementation group has been using the test bed to do a ‘proof-of-concept’ that requires both Client 1 and Client 2 to access the WEB Server at 209.65.200.241.
After several changes to the network addressing, routing schemes, DHCP services, NTP services, layer 2 connectivity, FHRP services, and, device security, a trouble ticket has been opened indicating DSW1 will not become the active router for HSRP group 10.”
hello all, I want to ask you about the tickets.. Is or is not working the Ping (from client or etc)? Some people say that is a bug. Can you help us, please?
ticket 2 is ancient ticket, I didn’t see it in my exam in 2020
@anonyms, i’m going to log a ticket with Cisco for these bug also. Apart from questions changing, i had couple of other bugs also. In port-channel question, the port channels numbers are not matching with what is there in answers and in configuration. In the answers they were listing port-channel 14 and 24 but in the scenario and configuration, it is port channel 13 and 23.
Another question about ip edge security ACL. when i look at all the configuration none of the devices are applied with that ACL. so many bugs like this.
@saras , i alredy send an email to cisco .I had the same bug like you . bad luck i geuss . hops cisco will fixe that and give us another vocher for this exam
PS: with all the bug i see today you will never passe the exam , so keep preparing and hope you get it next time
Guys passed today.
In addition to what people have been saying about Port Security ticket/DHCP ticket. When you check it seems like two issues however DHCP wins because the port shows connected and Up Up. Although “sh port-security” has Shutdown (output is to trick) Dont be fooled it’s a DHCP issue and only applies in situation above.
Also seems like each ticket is 77 points. Do the math you can only afford to miss two like someone. Got 923
Good luck and also get premium. Dont lose 300 because of 22 bucks!
….
Also BGP sim
All you need is first 3 lines. Skip the “no” line.
If you know you know
Congrats Certd!
About DHCP ticket, yes, the port-security is applied in ASW1, but you verify with the sh int f1/0/1 and you will see up/up state, the issue is not port-security
The november file only have 11 question? Someone can help with the 12?
Guys, why are Tickets 2 and 10 crossed out in the premium section? Are they no longer valid or do they not appear in the exam?
the nov file has 11 tickets but the 12 question is about GRE it is similar to question 11, if you have studied is easy
11 ticket not it is an error, 11 questions (MCQs and D&D)
Thank you job for the answer!!! :)
Passed today with the passing score exactly, I was renewing my CCNP so it is not my first time to take tshoot, but this time was extremely harder, i have a premium account and 90 percent more f my exam was from here,
I got one new mcq question.
I got the HSRP ticket
Cisco test software is buggy and i got session timeout couple times with error.
One of the ticket the external server was not pingable from r4 but after i got the error and the test manager in the center logged me out/in found that the same ticket r4 can ping the external server
– got the DHCP ticket, got the r2 ospf area 0 missing, got tunnel 34 on r3, got ospf-to_eigrp, got wrong vlan on trunkport on ASW, got HSRP simlet and the bgp.
– got the vlan filter ticket on DSW but when i selected DSW in the answers i didnt find the VLAN ACL choice to Choose from and it was confusing and had to choose any answer to move on with the exam as it was my first question and ticket.
I was lucky to pass and good luck guys.
Administrators, is there an issue with this site, finding it hard to load the site now and tickets sims are not working!!!
@Aali3 congrats. Do you remember what was the new mcq?
my apologies for calling peeps here trolls maybe they are not I can confirm what Aali3 is saying this 53% on the L2 tickets is for real –note if u do the L2 tickets on the test like the ones here u will get 53% dicks that r saying they got 1000 from here is complete bullshit i think what happened is someone found out something- hint/hint- the trolls r the dicks who say they got 1000 or even 9xx
the L3 sims are 100% correct here but u need to look at the IP’s on the BGP sim different on test
MCQ are 100% correct here
everything 100% correct here except for the L2 tickets which peeps have posted here over and over
the port-sec ticket was bugged I guess
sh port-sec
fast01 shutdown
fas02 shutdown
sh interfaces
fas01 up/up
fas02 up/up
yes this is a bug those interfaces should not be shutdown if the interface was shut it does not keep a copy of shutdown the shutdown automatically goes away when ports go up.
asw1#sh mac address table
fas01 xxxx.xxxx.1111
fas02 xxxx.xxxx.2222
mac addresses were in the switch asw1
advice is to not pick port security – look on R4 for ip helper addrs – i dont think I saw a helper addrs in dsw1 though
fact is I wasnt worried b/c I thought I aced the test at that point no sweat – barely passed – interested in the upcoming posts going forward here to see if u guys go thru this or not
Yes I agree , i got 100% in everything but i lost points on L2
I got 1000 point and I did the exam on Jan 17th, It is not troll
All is in networktut, study and analyse, many people only want to have the pdf and not study, fools!
dick u did not answer L2 questions as here on website u dick!! some peeps here just want to re-certify the exam makes 0 sense anyway u could not do any high level commands what the hell good is it u cant even do a piped command its a joke anyway if u got more than 53% prove it tell me something I dont know – ?
