Note: The last day to take this TSHOOT 300-135 exam is February 23, 2020. After this day you have to take new Enterprise exams to get new CCNP Enterprise certification. If you want to find out more about the new exams please visit here.

This article is devoted for candidates who took the TSHOOT exam to share their experience. Please tell us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

hey AL so on the BGP sim did u have to actually go into the R1 and config BGP commands OR is it like here on this site where you just plug into a template ?

if u have to go into the Router1 i assume your config went like this:

    #router bgp 64520
    #neighbor IBGP remote-as 64520
    #no neighbor 20j9.165.200.pl2 remote-as 64525
    #neighbor 209.165.201.2 remote-as 64525

    ??????

    Heya guys,

Second attempt, passed today 20.1.2020 with 9XX/1000, finally CCNP certified!

All of the MCQ were from november, and all of the labs were valid, no new questions.

    From the labs I had:

    DHCP Helper-address
    VLAN filter
    IPv6 OSPF
    EIGRP Passive Interface
    OSPF Authentication
    BGP Neighbor
    NAT ACL
    Redistribution Route-map (the OSPF_EIGRP one)

And maybe one or two more, can’t remember now.

I did however mess up one simulation apparently, as I have 75% from Layer 2 technologies.

Practice, know the concepts well, and you should do just fine.

    Thank you networktut!

Now, off to destroy myself with some quality alcohol so that I can make room in my brain for other bullshit

    I get 1000 on exam.
I see lot of people struggle with tickets.
YOU Do not learn by head!! You will not helped.
Learn solve the tickets, using the strategies (eg SAM).

    This how I did:

I get packet tracer files (is on site).
And put in directory (on windows PC).
I rename tickets with 0 to tickets without 0. or randomize will not work

    Here is my directory structure

    I make D:\300-135
I put in directory with ticket
And I make ticket directory for ticket I go solve:

    Directory of D:\300-135

    .
    ..
Packet Tracer 6_1 TSHOOT Ticket Labs
    ticket
    0 File(s) 0 bytes

Directory of D:\300-135\Packet Tracer 6_1 TSHOOT Ticket Labs

    .
    ..
    62,263 Full Working TSHOOT Topology.pkt
    60,880 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 1.pkt
    61,515 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 10.pkt
    61,843 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 11.pkt
    61,566 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 12.pkt
    60,955 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 13.pkt
    61,725 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 14.pkt
    61,094 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 15.pkt
    61,946 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 16.pkt
    62,166 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 2.pkt
    60,961 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 3.pkt
    60,919 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 4.pkt
    60,901 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 5.pkt
    61,800 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 6.pkt
    60,971 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 7.pkt
    60,787 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 8.pkt
    60,896 PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 9.pkt
    648 rename.cmd
    18 File(s) 1,043,836 bytes

    Directory of D:\300-135\ticket

    .
    ..
    13 assignment.txt
    246 randomize.cmd
    62,166 ticket.pkt
    3 File(s) 62,425 bytes

    ————————————
Now use the rename script to remove the 0:

    rename.cmd

ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 01.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 1.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 02.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 2.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 03.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 3.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 04.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 4.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 05.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 5.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 06.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 6.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 07.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 7.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 08.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 8.pkt”
ren “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 09.pkt” “PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket 9.pkt”

    ————————————-
Now use the randomize script to generate a ticket to solve.
You know not which ticket is it, but can see latest in “assignment.txt” after solved:

    randomize.cmd

    set RND_A=%random%
    set /a _rnd=(%random%*17/32767)+1
    echo random-number %_rnd%
    copy “D:\300-135\Packet Tracer 6_1 TSHOOT Ticket Labs\PT 300_135 TSHOOT Ticket %_rnd%.pkt” “D:\300-135\ticket\ticket.pkt”
    echo %_rnd% >>assignment.txt
    rem pause
    —————————————

    Now in D:\300-135\TICKET
    you get ticket.pkt

    Open in Packet Tracer
    And solve problem.

You are ready for exam if you can fix every ticket in less of 5 minutes.

    practize, praktykować, practize
No stop practize until fix every ticket in less of 5 minutes.
I fix in average of 3 minutes.

    January 20th, 2020

Hi guys….just passed the exam in the morning with 1000/1000.
All the questions are the same.
    My labs :
    DHCP Helper-address
    VLAN filter
    IPv6 OSPF
    EIGRP Passive Interface
    OSPF Authentication
    BGP Neighbor
NAT ACL(my client did’t ping the web server as some guys say)
    Redistribution Route-map (the OSPF_EIGRP one)
Port-channel with wrong vlans(this is the only point that confused me, my interface-vlan10 was shut down, i answered as here —>asw1, sw to sw, switchport mode access but there was nothing about the shutdown interface-vlan10)

    Any way i hope i helped u all…good luck to everyone…
After of 6months of studying ,i am finally CCNP CERTIFIED

  8. Polska
    January 20th, 2020

MCQ is only 12 question. Easy.
I learn by head in 1 hour, that is now problem. Anybody can do.
You can not learn ticket by head, all look same but is not same.
    Only 3 flavors, IPv6, IPv4 or L2 (=APIPA)

You need skill to solve problem tickets. If not to know which ticket and you can solve.
It is also on the exam, 10 tickets all look same but is not same. If you can solve by random 10 tickets in hour, you can also fix 10 tickets in hour on exam even in bad grafix interface.

  9. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

I passed tshoot today with 1000 points!!!
    All valid, no changes!
    tickets:
-IP NAT (change inside to outside)
-Switch-to-switch connectivity (vlan 10,200 and no shutdown in f1/0/1)
-VLAN ACL/Port ACL (no vlan filter test1..)
    -Ipv6 Ospf routing (R2)
-Ipv4-IPv6 connectivity (no tunnel mode ipv6)
-Access vlan (switchport mode access and no switchport trunl encap dot1q)
-IP DHCP helper (no ip helper-address 10.2.1.129)
    -OSPF->EIGRP change to OSPF_to_EIGRP (R4)
    -IPv4 OSPF routing authentication (R1)
-EIGRP Passive interface (Apply no passive-int f0/0 and f0/1)

MCQs nov2019- NOTE: The questions in PDF are incomplete because it is done by the experience of the people in this exam). The question number 12 is about GRE, if you “study” the questions (specially about uRPF, GRE, cost 5 in g1/2, VTP domain mismatch, IPv6 sequence 60 [ACL], etc) you could answer with security. The question that has the “recursive routing” and “asymetric routig” has exhibits, but the answers are ok.

BGP and HSRP sims the SAME, you must learn the topology and concepts

    Thanks Networktut!

  10. Red Sea
    January 20th, 2020

    Hi guys,
I have a question about HSRP Question 4

Router R5 do not see any route entries learned from R4; what could be the issue??
    what is the right answer??

  11. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

    @Red Sea
You must check the R5 and R4, you must check the wrong in the ip helper-address in R4, then the answer is a DHCP Issue

You can ask me about the tickets and MCQs. This page helps me for renew my ccnp

  12. Red Sea
    January 20th, 2020

is it OSPF issue or DHCP issue?
who passed with score 1000 , what is your answer for this question.. thank you

  19. GG

    @TO …..good luck bro…..i passed today with 1000/1000…
don’t worry….i followed SAM strategy….it’s piece of cake
all from here(premium tickets aren’t 100% same as cisco labs)…be careful and stay calm

  20. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

    @TO
Yes, you must study the topology. I had my own strategy, don’t worry about tickets, you must check the configurations. Use show commands and PING

  21. @george
    January 20th, 2020

yes a lot a trolls on here
    another note just noticed
on the top diagram y does it list the subnet 209.65.200.241/29 should be 209.65.200.240/29 ? .241 is the IP addrs

  22. anonyms
    January 20th, 2020

i failed the exam today .
i had 8 time the same ticket [ BGP ticket ) . But the IP@ and AS are correct on the lab .
i had open a ticket on the support

  23. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

CAUTION to all (I’m not a troll, i’m human)
When I taken the exam in 2018, some tickets repeated, but don’t worry, you must solve without problems (in this exam I didn’t see the BGP sim). Today in 2020, I don’t see a ticket repeated and I saw the BGP sim

  24. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

    @anonyms
If you have solve correctly the answers, you could go to the support.

  25. anonyms
    January 20th, 2020

i realy don’t know , because the ping is ok at all the 8 ticket . normaly they should be an AS issue that we need to fixe it . but i don’t find it .
also i had a ticket about NSSA issue between R4 and R3

  26. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

    @anonyms
Which strategy you have used? because the NSSA issue between R4 and R3 is because the issue of tunnel 34 (ipv6 ticket). In Ipv4, you must apply the ping to each router (as traceroute) and check with show commands.

  27. Hell and Satan
    January 20th, 2020

Guys! If you have small percentage in L2 Technologies that’s mean you were mistaken in the tickets, not in the MCQ!!

  28. anonyms
    January 20th, 2020

    @hario
nn , the ticket was not about the ipv6 .
but was about change the ip address between R3 and R4 or put the command nssa default-information-originate.
sorry guys, i don’t remanber the ticket . but i had so much bug in the examen .
also i had a ticket about the acces VLAN wera shoud i add VLAN 10 , but the issue that the VLAN is alrady configured on the LAB
really don(t know what to do

  29. Hario
    January 20th, 2020

    @anonyms
What was your stratregy? Because there are many tricks in the configurations. For example in the OSPF authentication, it is by interface, however in another ticket one command is in the interface and another command is in the ospf routing mode.

  30. RASTA
