Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice & drag drop questions
+ 2 Simlets
+ 15 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (15 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answer three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

    @ Mariya I’m sorry to hear that. Did you use the premium section?

    @Mariya – So you failed and say that MCQs are new, but you are asking for a copy of the file that has those MCQs in it. You do not need to ask for the file if you downloaded it from the link here. Something fishy here.

    I think if you ran show ip ospf neighbors you would have seen if its an ospf issue or not. The guides here are good but you cant just memorize them. You would still need to do some due diligence and practice troubleshooting.

    I have scheduled my CCNP Troubleshooting test after 6 hours from now . Will let you know if i notice any changes .

    I took the exam yesterday and there isnt any huge change to the MCQs. I had a question that had 2 routers configured to run GRE and there was a problem with the tunnel not coming up. It ended up being the source address was incorrect on both routers.

    There was another question that I think folks have had on here where there are 3 routers connected in a triangle and each has an IPv6 loopback. The question is what line within an ACL needs to move to the top to allow R3 to ssh to R2.

    Everything else is on this site.

    @300-135

    I enhanced SAM strategy and used my “own” strategy at the actual exam and decided to share it with you Guys.

    Luckily, I was able to pass and perfect again, both 2014 and 2019 Tshoot exams. :D

    Enjoy and Good Luck To All! ^_~

    I just failed this morning with CCNP TSHOOT. Everything is the same like NOV 19 Dump. After the exam I was stunned that I got 783 for the exam because all the questions appear in the exam are all the have reviewed and know the answer already. After the exam, I try to recheck my answers again – and it is exactly like the dump answer. I do not know why I fail —- my Layer 2 Technology got only 29%.

    Anyone know the success case to appeal to cisco for checking the result again?

    @Sasikanth Padigala
    You mentioned that there is a drag and drop qns on (HSRP, virtual mac, etc). Is that a qns out of the 13 Nov set? It seems to be an old qns from previous date.

    Please help as I am taking TSHOOT tml.

    Any kind souls can also advise if there is any change in qns?
    Thanks in advance.

    @Ady
    I also failed 2 weeks ago (825) with exactly the same situation. I confirm i only have 1 wrong MCQ qns and all my simulations answer are correct. I have 53% for my L2 and 80% for infra security.

    No point appealing to Cisco because they will tell you the system is ok.

    Did you try run a few “Show” commands to try to find out the issue in the simulation or you just select the correct answer?

    I suspect even if the answer is correct, it is still looking out for correct “Show” command to be entered. Without these, the system will deem it as wrong.

    Just my guess and 2-cents worth. Will any kind soul please enlighten us?

    It could have changes in anytime (about MCQs and D&D)
    The tickets are the same, but you must check the tickets correctly, a good strategy, not answer by answer.

    @Anonymous-L, do not pay attention to @Sasikanth Padigala, is a troll, be confident if you study, practice, and understand the concept, you should be following a strategy to resolve the Trouble tickets.

    what are the steps to appeal to cisco? was there success stories appealing to cisco?

  19. system
    January 20th, 2020

    I never see about success in appeal. For that, You must take the exam again

    @Ady
    By the way, is there any new MCQ or drag & drop qns?

    @Wars
    There is no success story that the score change after appeal.
    I only heard of success story whereby they provide free exam voucher but you will have to retake the exam.

    hey AL so on the BGP sim did u have to actually go into the R1 and config BGP commands OR is it like here on this site where you just plug into a template ?

    if u have to go into the Router1 i assume your config went like this:

    #router bgp 64520
    #neighbor IBGP remote-as 64520
    #no neighbor 209.165.200.pl2 remote-as 64525
    #neighbor 209.165.201.2 remote-as 64525

    ??

    @Anonymous-L

    Yes I did use the show command to locate any questions I answer to avoid unnecessary mistakes. in my case I got 29 in L2 Security and 90% in infra security. All questions are the same from Nov 19 dump and I remember all of those questions. I recheck again and again now – then I got no mistakes at all.

    Anyway did you appeal to Cisco in your case? and you already retake exam or not?

  23. Ady
    January 20th, 2020

    @Anonymous

    you can download NOV 11 Update from someone posted in comment section – those all questions appear in the exam. In my case, I know all the MCQ that appear in the exam. all Lab also valid — I do not why I fail —-

    Anyway— how to appeal to get the voucher???? – if can get voucher it is also good I am not afraid to take exam again

  24. Jake
    January 20th, 2020

    Hi all, is it mandatory to use “ping ipv6 2026::1:2” from R1 or would “ping 2026::1:2” would be enough?? Could someone clarify?

  25. Anonymous-L
    January 20th, 2020

    @Ady
    Not successful and no voucher, their reply is nothing wrong with system and it did capture all my answer. Below is the official reply.

    “There are candidates who were able to pass the exam and made the simulation work however, we cannot disclose which specific commands are accepted or not accepted…..”

    So I guess they could be looking at specific commands being entered and not just choosing the right answer. I will retake the exam. Any changes to MCQ Nov?

  26. icebw22
    January 20th, 2020

    I think to be on the safe side, even if you know the answer is to use all the troubleshooting commands to find the root cause.
